You need a gateway to unlock it if your away and not connected to the device on bluetooth wifi etcYou can also use the offline pin generator for one time visitors if your away and unable to access the lock.Sometimes the fingerprint sensor needs to be wiped with a clean cloth or the sensor does not catch the fingerprint.Overall- good product, even their call center was really helpful when i couldn’t figure out the lock.Its also designed for doors with right and left side handle locks , which needs to be adjusted from inside the device.App works fineLooks nice on a wooden doorAnd works only on DURACELL BATTERIES

SERVICE – real let down

It is SMART till it works, I bought this to overcome issue with traditional locks in flats – forgetting keys inside and calling a locksmith to open the door. Got it and installed in Sep 24 and have been a champion for this product till yesterday when for some mechanical fault in lock I got locked out of my flat and my whole family lockedin the flate around 8 am. Repeated attempts from outside and inside the flat did not help in opening the locak – battery change, key, reset . Finally called QUBO helpline at 9:30 when they opened up. I was assigned a technician to come and help, he called me around 11 and had a video call where he instrcuted me to force open the door but to no avail. He expressed his helpness to come physically as he was out of town, I rang back the helpline and informed them of the situation, they promised me another techinican but till 2 pm no one turned up and all calls to helpline did not yield any result other than SYMPATHY. At 2 pm I had to call a carpenter to break into my own house, ripped open the front panel of the door to access the lock mechanism and realised malfuntion of spring which when released opened the door. I have since then taken the lock out and disposed of into trash can. Things can and will go wrong – it is the service that keeps the customer in, not only I did not get service in time but also got a call today saying that I denied the technician visit – obviously why will I need a technician when I do not have the lock any more and more importantly can not put by family through this ordeal in future when I have seen the QUALITY OF SERVICE – offers for free lock replacement was denied for this same reason. Posting it not to get SYMPATHY FROM QUBO team (nor free product) but to share my experience with potential customer so that they can make informed choice

Good Smart Lock (without wifi)
Quality and Finishing-Feels Good, but weighs lighter and feels less heft than competing brands (speedy/ozone).Handle has a matte feel, rest of the parts are glossy.Surprisingly most brands of smart door lock look and feel the same, with differences in weight. Not surprising as all of these are made in China, and then labelled by Indian retailers.Packaging-Top marks, there was a detailed template for door marking and lock placement. Product wrapped and labelled clearly. 2 physical steel keys, 2 rfid cards included.Qubo app and Usage-App for smart door is not as clunky as their dashcam one. Easy to add profiles, and setup access types.Fingerprint-Almost instant, Works 8/10 times. PIN Code- works flawlessly. Physical key overrides fingerprint and PIN.There is also a privacy on the inside, which when selected, disables all access mechanism from outside except physical key I believe.Battery- Been few weeks, at 90%. Let us see how this holds up.WiFi-This model does not come with wifi, but can be added by purchasing their gateway.VFM-Got this for 7415/- with card offers included.Installation and Support-Good and responsive.Was installed on second day after raising installation request.

I found this Qubo smart lock on Amazon for under ₹10,000, and I’ve been pretty impressed so far. The only issue was that it took a few days for the technician to come for installation, but once he did, the setup was smooth and professional.The lock itself feels solid and well-built. The finish is good, it matches the door, and the overall design feels premium for the price. Fingerprint unlock is quick and easy, and the app is well-designed and simple to use. I also like having backup options — RF tags and PIN — in case the fingerprint isn’t convenient.One thing I noticed is that it seems to be an OEM product from China — I even spotted a very similar-looking model from Atomberg here on Amazon. Affordable Lock System- Service Issues: A Mixed Experience with QUBO – positively addressed
I recently purchased two fingerprint lock systems from QUBO, one for my main door and another for my bedroom. Here’s my honest review of the product and service experience.Starting with the product itself, QUBO offers the lowest cost in the market for fingerprint locking systems, which has helped them significantly penetrate the home security segment. This affordability was a major factor in my decision to choose QUBO over other brands.However, my experience with the service team has been mixed. Initially, I ordered the Elite model for my main door, but it had an issue with the SMS pin feature. Fortunately, the company promptly exchanged it for a new one, and the service person who handled the replacement was professional. I was satisfied with how this situation was resolved.Encouraged by this, I ordered another fingerprint lock for my bedroom. Unfortunately, this time the service experience was far from satisfactory. The first technician who came to install the lock was visibly drunk and in an unkempt state. I had to ask him to leave immediately. Later that day, another technician arrived, but he too was unkempt and seemed unprofessional. When he saw that my door already had a circular lock, he suggested leaving it with a hole after uninstalling the old lock, which was completely unacceptable. I insisted that he remove the old lock, close the hole, and install the new one correctly. He agreed to return the next day at 9 AM to complete the job but didn’t contact me until 10:30 AM, asking if he could come then, which was inconvenient for me.What really concerned me was when this technician requested that I refrain from mentioning the drunkenness of his colleague in my Amazon review. This request was highly inappropriate and made me question the professionalism and training of QUBO’s service staff. It felt as if the two technicians were colluding to cover up the incident.Given these issues, I wonder if QUBO conducts proper background checks and provides adequate training to their service personnel. If not, they risk fostering a group of technicians who, at best, appear benign but could be harmful. I strongly urge QUBO to reconsider how they share customer information with service technicians. There should be a system where customers can input map details via the company’s WhatsApp or website, eliminating the need to share personal contact information with the technicians.Lastly, the second technician I encountered even had a squint, which made the situation more uncomfortable. I believe that QUBO should ensure their service personnel are well-trained, professional, and capable of handling all aspects of the lock installation without requiring excessive contact with the customer.Overall, while the product itself is competitive and well-priced, the service experience needs significant improvement. I hope QUBO addresses these issues to maintain customer trust and satisfaction.Update : 15/03/25The management has addressed the issue promptly and appreciate their quickness in responding to this matter.
