Ok camera
Updating my review after one month of use. No change in my rating and just updating more prons and consPros1. Good indoor camera for normal use.2. Configuring is easy3.Tapo app is responsive and working good4. Video Clarity is ok5. Sound is ok6. Rotation is smooth , but a very small sound while rotating. A person who is standing near to camera can notice this sound7. Zooming is ok , but no optical zoom8. Night vision is good9. You can add presets and presets are working good. I am specifically telling this because presets won’t work well in some other brand cameraz . But for tapo it is working very good.10. You can adjust rotation angle and it is one of the feature missing in other camera.11. Person detection is working well and you can easily differtiate normal motion detection with person detection by a person symbol on thumbnails.Cons1. Cloud storage is expensive2. No optical zoom, only digital zoom. I didn’t like zoom clarity compared to other 3mp models. If you want to zoom a large distance , don’t take this.i own an ezviz 1k camera and i liked zoom clarity of that than this.3. Can’t control the siren as per our will.siren works only in motion detection. So if a small insect is flying , then it will make sound. But we can restrict it to human detection. I always prefer an alarm with a button which we can trigger from app.4. Play back or recorded video in memory card fast-forward option is not via slider. You can select a speed and it will fast forward based on that. But I always prefer a slider for fast-forward.5. Tapo is autorotating sometimes. Not sure why . I don’t want this feature.6. One major con I noticed is the wifi network updation . Most of the cameras now a days allow you to change wifi network via app . But for tapo we can’t change wifi via app. I can see network selection is ready only field and no action on that.

Tapo C210 Pros & Cons
Here is my honest and experience review✅ Pros✔️ High Video Quality (2K / 3MP)– Very clear and sharp footage, both day and night, better than many ₹1,500–₹2,000 cameras.✔️ Pan & Tilt Feature– Full 360° horizontal + 114° vertical movement. You can control it smoothly via the Tapo app to see every corner.✔️ Local Storage Option (No Subscription Needed)– Supports up to 512GB microSD card, saving monthly cloud fees. This is a huge advantage at this price point.✔️ Good Build Quality– Feels solid and well-made for ₹2,000–₹3,500, unlike generic cameras in this range.✔️ Easy Setup– Quick installation with Tapo app (Android/iOS). Most users set it up in under 10 minutes.✔️ Two-way Audio– Allows you to talk and listen through the camera—handy for checking in on family or pets.✔️ Works with Alexa & Google Assistant– You can view the camera feed on smart displays like Echo Show or Nest Hub.⚠️ Cons❌ Needs Continuous Power Supply– No battery backup or wire-free option. Must remain plugged in.❌ AI Detection Accuracy is Average– Motion/person detection sometimes misses events or gives false alerts.❌ No Desktop/Web Viewing– Can’t view directly on PC without an emulator or RTSP setup.❌ Average Audio Quality– Two-way audio is clear enough for short talks but not crystal clear.❌ Privacy/Cloud Concerns– Requires TP-Link account and app usage; some users prefer brands with fully offline modes.⭐ Final WordsAt ₹1,800–₹2,500, the Tapo C210 is one of the best value pan/tilt cameras in India. Alternatives like Realme Smart Cam or Mi 360° offer similar specs but Tapo is often rated higher for video clarity and app stability.

Good budget camera TAPO Fixed CCTV
It has been a month that I have installed it myself, as it was easy plug n play.Because the weight of the product Camera is very less, for installation you can use what is available to you, spoonful of any Fevicol, nail free silicon sealant, hot gun plastic, etc. will do the job, beside screw fitting.Camera video and photo quality is good,Mic and speaker Sound – below average.Price – under 1500 – the best…Audio Video calling feature is good.Functionality – video can be captured in 3 quality modes as you may need, on phone – all 3 modes looks nearly the same but after downloading when video is played on large screen then it is evident and useful. frames per setting also can be adjusted.Best part – like many other brands may offer – Highlight specific times when camera encounters a movement of object or person. We can decide whether to store all the video thru out or during motion detection or a particular time in 24 hour window each day.when it detects motion – it saves a recording 1 second prior to movement and keep it for about 1 minute.as a result you would see memory utilization is enhanced and user need not scroll or fast forward, they can focus on time highlighted when camera detected motion.it is extremely helpful and time saving.I am using a memory card but TAPO provides cloud storage at a certain fee.The camera can be used as a monitoring device without MICRO SD card inserted as well.Storage works with a micro SD.on the TAPO app, we can have multiple cameras setup. for example I have 3 cameras of TAPO that i can access on 1 app.and we can install this tapo app on multiple phones as well for example my 2 more family members have tapo app installed and can monitor.1 concern – on the storage download – only download when camera and phone are connected to same wifi. – for instance if i am in office and i want to download a clip of my cctv at home, it will not allow. As a work around , in my samsung mobile phone i have option to record screen , so I re-play the video of camera and record. it is not a deal breaker but i am not sure if other phones have this feature, this may be a concern.Reason of choosing this static non-moving model for outside – I am using as a fixed focus area outside my apartment, no need to do tracking.another good thing is – Alarm of motion detection (none, sound , light blinking, both combinations) – it works best when there is no movement expected in a certain area – for example you leave house and turn on alarm, it will sound where it is installed – and send user notification on mobile. alarm sound is not too loud, it would not fetch attention of your neighbor.User can turn on or off notification feature when motion is detected.CRITICAL Improvement Suggested to company – notification sound in mobile is very less – in such case of alarm turned on- the sound in mobile must be high , because user will be away from camera location and security is compromised.

From Smart Security to Senior Struggles
I have been using this Tapo camera in my home for the past 2 years and 6 months. For most of that time, it worked perfectly without any issues. The video quality was decent, motion detection was reliable, and the connection with the mobile app was smooth. However, over the last one and a half months, the camera has started to malfunction. It no longer connects with the app on my phone, making it almost useless for remote monitoring. For the past 15 days, it hasn’t connected at all and just keeps blinking a red light while making random noises. It now behaves more like an old, confused device that doesn’t know what to do. I’ve tried restarting and resetting it multiple times, but nothing seems to help. It’s disappointing that a device which worked so well for over two years is now completely unreliable. I hope the company improves the durability or provides better long-term support for their products.
